Not On My Bucket List, But...

The Oncology Day Ward - No one told me My life would change Every time I opened that door, How many times now?! Not on my bucket list: To open that door, To be there, To take a seat, a bed Or treatment chair there. Twelve months now, Opening that door And changing my life every time. I was a mess the first time I opened it; I'm better now. "No disease progression": The three word summary Of the last CT scan Three months ago. Mind you, given the context, Those three words Could be, should be, will be On my bucket list from now on: "No disease progression" From scan to scan And next week another one. So, my life has changed And so has my bucket list Since the first time I opened That door marked "Oncology Day Ward"
