Ever Since Forever

Ever since forever - Not really, but it seems that way; It has only been a year, Every other Friday, On the Oncology Day Ward Via The-Raheny-To-Beaumont-And-Back-Again-Express. We know the route well. This ward - One of the best schools I've ever attended. Who would have ever guessed?! Full of surprises and revelations - Full of brokenwhole ones: The bandana-ed, The bald, The strugglers and seekers, The well-needle-ed, The way too thin, The weary and the worried, Home to the ever hopeful, The sacred and the scared And yes, Home to waiting, All of us waiting Ever since forever - And all within a year.
