Like a group of quilters we are, Meeting up regularly, Each with our Work-In-Progress square And bagful of bits and pieces - What might And what might not work; No two the same And yet no outliers: We t0o Are different and the same A patchwork Of all of us Who have seen better days But These Oncology Day Ward quilts, They are quirky, gladsad, Heartfelt and wonderful And somehow Everything and every one fits And each week, The still unfinished product Is something to behold, Something we could not have done Alone.
