We are here A ward full of side effects And we side-effected. You never know. Some mild, Some wild, Some not, More in front Than on the side, some. 'Front -Effects' Might be more accurate. (And just now, word that Our neighbour across the hall, Died last evening, One floor below here in ICU... And not 10 minutes later, News of a brand new one, A daughter, born to My oncology liaison nurse. And there it was, The Circle of Life in 10 minutes) I stop complaining of side-effects, Be they side or front, And take in the mystery of it all And all of it in 10 minutes.
