Orchids

They amaze me, Though I do not understand them. They seem to be their own ballet, Even stationary, managing to dance, Releasing tiny, perfect dancers When they care to And in their own time (agonisingly slow, to my mind) But producing a hush, a blush, A rush of colour: Exact, Precise, Filigreed, Wafer-thin And wonderful.
