On the Oncology Day Ward this morning, Blue Room conversations: Everyone knows everyone, Who bought what house and why, Who got and didn't get The medical card, Whose brother married whose sister, While all the while, The infusions carry on. You almost forget. "Yous wouldn't know people were sick, Slaggin' one another, the craic..." She said. Ah, God, Thank you For the distractions, For the craic, For the people you meet for the first time, Yet you've known them forever. Cancer be damned; We can still have fun. And we do.
